How do Youtube users find others on Youtube?

I know exactly what you mean! I don’t upload youtube videos, yet at one point, I had at least 3 youtubers invite me to become their friend every day for weeks… Then I had over 100 youtube friend invites, and I added them all at once…

Do you write comments on other videos? Do you favorite videos? Maybe they find what you watch and subscribe to interesting.

@curiouscat Yeah, sometimes. Even when I don’t comment and favorite videos, I still get tons of friend invites(most of them are guys) even sometimes give me these little messages with a heart.My avatar doesn’t show anything revealing either to attract so much, it’s just my face.Cute cat BTW. :-)

Well then… maybe from the times that you had commented on videos, and favorited them- the people come across you, and decide to befriend you. And well, there’s lots of crazy guys on the internet too..

Do you sign into Youtube and access videos through your account? You might want to create a separate e-mail address and use that for Youtube and other sites like that, rather than your personal e-mail address.

Youtube is connected with google. Saying that, most friend invites are just random people trying to either be cool an have a lot of friends or like every famous Youtube person (well known person) they add random people to become know around youtube. The other option is that they can be a pedo. But lets hope not.

I got lucky and did a name search for most of my friends, a few post a link on other social media- one friend basically FORGOT he had a YouTube account and when I found it, I encouraged him to start putting his own videos on there since he works in Hollywwod Special FX and puppetry, makeup,etc. I’m just beginning to place content on my own (I’m learning to shoot video)
