How do you insert a link on your questions/answers?

Asked by 2late2be (2292points) April 7th, 2008 from iPhone

I know that you can’t copy and paste on the touch, can you do that on your iPhone? I have the touch btw… Or how can I do that with it?

Drag the link to the box and drop.. Or copy and paste it.

Rather than posting another question. I was wondering the same thing. Also, how do you change fonts and get it bold? I see it below the answer box, but can’t figure it out.

you can either type in the full address and it will create a link or type ” link name ” : the address. just take out the spaces that I inserted…

try this…copy and paste the note under the answer box about links…change the word link inside the quote marks.

In case you don’t understand ccatron with the code (could be), it’s also explained on this page.

@2late2be:

Because you asked this question, I am going to assume that you believe this is an iPhone/iTouch-only site.

Fluther is/was a PC site first, so copy-paste is not an unfamiliar concept. The iPhone/iTouch app was built after.

Hope that clears up some confusion.

I still don’t get it!

Fluther from PC – copy-paste as normal.
Fluther from iPhone – cannot copy-paste.
Fluther from iTouch – cannot copy-paste.

From the iPhone/iTouch, you will have to write down or memorize the link, and then in the box, you type

“visible title that people click” :http://www.thelinkyoumemorized.com

That’s iPod Touch, by the way. Not iTouch. Just putting that out there..

I call it iTouch. There’s nothing wrong with that. People need to get over that technicality – I know what it is.
