What is this thing? Is this a gecko?

It looks like a lizard to me. But poor thing, why is one of its eyes so much bigger than the other one? It looks hurt.

I think it is a gecko, by the look of its feet and large eyes. Does it have a long tail?

Here and here are some similar geckos. I suspect the huge eye is a defect due to illness or injury.

Yes that is a gecko and it’s one eye is closed so it looks smaller but it is close to the side of the cage.
