Can anyone tell me the name of this movie?

It had Sam Neill and I think Juliet Binoche. The main thing I remember was that they were in a plane that lost power due to something like a world wide EMP.
I saw this movie in the 80’s, I think. I thought I remembered the title being; The far ends of time and earth. I looked up all Sam Neill movies on my Netflx and it is not listed. I googled Far ends… and got Asimov, of which I have a well worn copy.
So I googled various different titles like that and came up with bupkis. I know I did some serious drugs in the 70’s but come on. Did I hallucinate the whole movie? Someone had to have seen it. Any help would be appreciated. (Smartass comments about the lingering effects of drugs will be summarily ignored.)

That’s it! I’m watching a clip where the plane loses power. Thank you!
@Odysseus I’m a she, and I said I think. Look at my question again. Shit, I’ve slept since watching it, I don’t swear to anything.
Anyway, thank you all. Crap like this keeps me awake at night.
