Why do athletes make the shape of a triangle with their hands and hold it over their heads? What does it mean? And why is it only, for the most part, African-American athletes who do it?

It’s a sign for The Roc a company that Jay-Z created and then sold but many players still do it like Lebron James.
They are just copying the wrestler Diamond Dallas Page, he’s been doing that since Jay-Z was still in the womb!
No on both. It’s a symbol of Kappa Alpha Psi, one of the largest black fraternities in the country. Many black athletes join it college. One of its main symbols is a kappa in a diamond.
@GD I was just poking fun at the Jay-Z reference! Sorry, I was being a bit supercilious!
Yeah. I should’ve caught that….. the perils of chatting on the phone, watching the NCAA finals, and fluthering at the same time.
All three answers can be right. Lebron didn’t go to college.
