When I call the Riley Children's Hospital what should I say?
I want to take all my stuffed animals that I dont ever use anymore, and give them to local kids with cancer at the riley childrens hospital. But before I do I would like to call them and see if it is ok and when I can bring them the stuffed animals? What exactly should I say?

I think you have this covered. And thanks for doing a great thing!
Better put them through the washing machine first, though. Very gentle cycle, and gentle fluff dry. Give them plenty of time to finish air drying afterward.
Anything that doesn’t survive probably shouldn’t be donated anyway. I used to do this with all my kids’ stuffed toys from time to time.
I would say to the receptionist that answers the phone: “I’d like to make a toy donation to the children’s cancer unit, can you put me through to the person I should speak with about this?”
Then to the person I would say “I would like to donate stuffed animals to the children’s cancer unit, is this type of donation accepted?”
When you wash the dolls careful to use detergent that doesn’t stink badly, you can always just use vinegar in the wash if you don’t have any fragrance free detergent. What a wonderful donation!
Here, they recommend freezing them as well. We shed skin cells and there are mites (not bedbugs.. that’s a horrible different story that would need treating in a separate way) that eat on the skin and dirt and by freezing the toys, you manage the number of mites in the toys as well.
We live in a very ‘alive’ world on a microscopic level. (sorry to make every start itching…)
