Do you have any experience with Google Ebooks?

Asked by MyNewtBoobs (19069points) December 20th, 2010

What can you tell me about it? Do you like it? Is it a format that works on all ereaders, or do you just login on your internet browser on your ereader and read it from there? If you’re without an internet connection, is it useless until you find an area with some bars?

Most smart phones and e-readers are supported, Kindle is an exception. If you have a supported device, the book is stored on your device and can be read offline. I have the iPad app, and it works fine.

@ratboy So then GEbooks is more of an app?

It syncs across several platforms. For example, if I buy a book on my computer, start reading a few pages, then open up the Google Books app on my Android phone it will pick up on the same page where I left off.
