Near impossible for me to adhere to that limit, hell, I can’t say anything in less than triple that amount most of the time. Us wordy, non-linear types cannot be ‘type’ cast. lol

I’ve had two tylenols, four advil, two pain pills, and two glasses of Bourbon and coke to kill the pain. Looks like I’m going to have two knee replacements to go with my two hip replacements.

I’m okay… My pain has been so bad…. don’t care! The thought of going through two more surgeries is not fun to think about. Got NO choice. Cannot live like this. Well, I’ll evenually get my attitude right. Just right now, a little down about it.

Totally understandable…when our bodies fail us it is a challenge.
No comparison to your situation but I have been suffering for weeks again with allergy stuff….GAWD…I want a face transplant!

I’m about to take some pictures of the damage caused by the water leak (from the dishwasher that failed). The water spread under the floor, went up the walls in the kitchen and over to the wood floor in the living room. And just in time for Xmas.
Luckily we’re going to my Uncle’s house for Xmas. It would have been a real disaster if everyone would have been coming here.
@Coloma ditto my friend ! It gets to you after a while. Being strong all the time is impossible.

@BoBo1946 So sorry to hear about your joint pain and potential for more surgery. Can you ask your doctor if they have any pain specialists who can help you through this ordeal while you await surgery? Not sure if you’re in the U.S. or not, but Kaiser has a pain clinic as part of its whole insurance plan.
Mixing alcohol with pain meds can lead to liver failure pretty quickly. That’s definitely not something you want to mess around with or add to your other troubles.
Your doctor should be able to give you some kind of alternatives to help with the pain. Could be hypnosis, accupuncture, guided visualization, bio-feedback, marijuana or even some other kind of medication. You need to let him know that you are kind of at a point of desperation.
Stay with Fluther if you can so we can at least talk you through it, if nothing else.
@Kardamom yeah, got’cha on the alcohol. My first drink in two months. I rarely drink, But, understood.
I’ve an appt. with him the 28th of this month. Will discuss this with him. Going to have the surgery asap. I’m going to get it over. Arthritis is the culprit.

So…New Years dancing is out, huh? Damn. The pain thing is a bitch. I’ve had arthritis since I was 25, and it’s a bear. I’ve had good results from elastic knee braces (you know, those Ace guys) when it gets bad. The extra pressure and support really helps, sometimes.
@JilltheTooth mine are arthritic spurs that press on the nerves…. wish the Ace would work my friend, but i’ve tried about everything know to man except accupuncture.
oh, there is always next year to do the twist all night! It will pass fast.
Killing time before I have to pick up my daughter and a hundred pounds of cookies from Girl Scouts. Thinking I should have stopped at the liquor store while shopping today and not giving a flying fuck how many characters this is. :)

Um,... I just woke up from a nap on the living room couch. The wood burner is working full tilt and it’s so warm and toasty it just sucks the ambition right out of me. Gee, now that I’m up, what’s for supper? Let’s see… I have rice and there’s some aloo bhaji and aloo chole left over. Yum! It’s a plan!
Hey! I vacuumed! The shop vac is still out so I think I’ll give the plants the once over with it.
It’s 10.30pm here and this is the first chance today that I have been able to Fluther. I’m sat in bed and enjoying my time here before I switch off the light. I’m also drinking cold milk.

Eating homemade chips from a bar I ate at last night which are phenomenal. Listening to Christmas music and looking up pictures of Bernese Mountain dogs because I just became obsessed with them. I’m also about to open a can of whoopass on the vets office because they are 4 days late with my cats bloodwork.
Oooh! @deni ! I love Berners! If they weren’t so big (and therefore short-lived) I’d get me one of those. They are great dogs!
@JilltheTooth They are so FUCKING cute. And furry. My neighbor a few houses down has one. It’s so funny. The dog is so furry and happy, and walks 2 feet, pees (nothing comes out) then seems so happy about it, scampers off, 2 more feet, pees, smiles, pees again. OMG I just sit and stare and laugh at it, very envious at the same time, lol.

When my daughter was about 7 she got up in a really cranky mood…until she saw me and she burst out laughing! I hadn’t looked at my hair yet, but I had a perm and that morning she said I looked just like a dandelion!

I just got back from the hair dressers, and I am wondering why they always spend 20 minutes styling my hair at the end, when I tell them up front that I don’t spend more than 5 minutes messing with my hair in the mornings! So I always walk out of the looking like somebody I don’t know, and somebody I’ll never look like again!
I’m making caramel corn, about to make spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, then making gingerbread men with the kids, then baking some bread. I feel like I will never leave the kitchen and never finish washing dishes!
I’m also munching on the extra popcorn and thinking it would have been a good idea to eat lunch.
