Those in the Bay Area, which would you recommend transferring to, SFSU or CSEB?

I’m interested in transferring to one of these schools as an English lit major. They’re both around an equal distance from my house, but I don’t know which would be better academically.
Do you have any reviews of either college?
I’m hoping to transfer from Diablo Valley College (CC) next fall.

By CSEB, do you mean Cal State East Bay? That’s in Hayward, right? Or, the satellite campus in Concord?
I believe SFSU has a better reputation, but I really haven’t heard much about CSUEB. Personally, I would much rather go to school in SF than Hayward (or Concord). But both are CSUs, so you can get a good education at either one (note: I go to another CSU, I may be biased towards them). I would recommend taking a tour of each, and talking to someone in the department you want to study in.
It totally depends on your goal. Which one offers the courses you want to take?
I went to both schools. I majored in Literature at SFSU (‘97), where I had excellent teachers. I got my teaching credential through an innovative partnership program at CSEB, so I am not familiar with their undergrad.
SFSU had a wide variety of classes, at various times. I was a bartender when I attended and was able to take all my classes after 1:00pm which I loved. I was quite satisfied with my BA there, and I became a much better writer and reader after attending. I can recommend some good courses and teachers if you like.
@Megan64 are there any professors you had that still teach there? Courses change when teachers change.
Any class taught by Geoffrey Green(e) will be amazing.
