Please give me the one that has to do with removing the spaces, and not the following one:
To make a link with your own text, either use the button at the top of the message composition box, or create one by typing code like this:
[[/b]L=Your Text]http://www.anandtech.com/[[/b]/L]

Copy/paste the link in the box. Then move your curser in front of the beginning of the link and do this:
“word”:
no spaces, the next thing should be your http etc.
Thanks all.
Let me see:
Ooh, jellies!fluther.com
What did I do cyn?
I have to get off the the computer for now, till tomoroow.
@flo I think you missed something.
You type:
” text ” : fluther.com
And then take out all the spaces.
text
@flo, you forgot your quotation marks around “jellies” and the colon after “jellies!”:
Like this, but with no spaces in between.
” linktitle ” : url
In other words
quotation mark, word you want to use as your link, quotation mark, colon, url
” Jellies! ” : fluther.com with no spaces in between becomes Jellies!
Ooh, jellies!
@you’re right @cyn I did something wrong there. This time I removed the two spaces 1 before and one after the colon, and still nothing, so far nothing is happening. ... Never mind, it is happening in the text below. I wasn’t paying attention to that yesterday so, I kept changing things. I was expecting to see the result in the message box, as I was typing.
@augustlan….space, colon, space, url, right?
By the way is it supposed to work in Yahoo and Gmail?
@flo No, in Gmail you have a little picture of a chain (“links”) that you click on. A small window will pop up where you’ll be able to enter the text you want it to appear as and give it your URL. I’m assuming there’s something very similar in Yahoo.
@flo You’re welcome!
You just made my…night..by telling me that you appreciate me! It doesn’t happen that often around here.
@cyn,@chyna@augustlan Thanks very much, I appreciate that! forgive me.
It is the “remove the spaces” part of the instruction, that made me think the “space” (2 times) should be included, so that there is no “where is the space I am supposed to remove?” thinking. But then I found out it is even easier not to put them the first place.
@flo Exactly! That is what kept thowing me off. That is why I described it to you as I did above, without spaces. It took me forever to figure it out.
@chyna thank you so much. I am glad I didn’t any:
[[/b]L=Your Text]http://www.anandtech.com/[[/b]/L]
or
Here,
kind of answer.
