Gay Guys: What do you look for in a partner?

My family disagrees, but I am not gay. But the gay guys in know look for the same stuff. Crazy shit like honesty and a sense of humor.

Your family disagrees that you are not gay?

They think I am gay when I am not. At my sisters wedding my cousin held me against the wall with a gun at my head frothing about how he needs to kill the faggots.

Really? Jeez man, sorry to hear that. That is a crazy story though. I kind of wish that crazy stuff like that happened to me sometimes just to pepper my biography haha.

It is a shame that people cannot tolerate homosexuals. But we are the minority so I suppose it is bound to happen. If we were the majority straight people could be treated the same way. Imagine life where gay people are the majority? I don’t think I could handle that many musicals and multicolored American flags!

For me the first thing is how straight do they act. I am not out and will never be able to come out to my family so anyone that I am with cannot give it away at all. Sucks but there you have it….

Outside of that… Be interested in sci-fi, computers, web 2.0 stuff. Like to hike but is not a power hiker..would rather rock out at acdc with some beer then to lady gaga

Of course there’s no sweeping generalized statements you can accurately make. Like with anyone else, it comes down to personal preference. I’m generally more open to straighter acting males, but there’s a big difference between that and a “total guy.” Feminine features, without being girlie, are a plus. My attraction to guys is really more cerebral than anything. If we can laugh and chat, if I find him intelligent, if he’s reasonably fit and around my age, he has a good chance.

I am very attracted to straight acting guys I must say. I agree with @Smashley, some feminine features are good,, but not over the top. Intelligence is also a huge plus for me
