Do you buy yourself Christmas/holiday presents? If so, what are some things you've bought for yourself for the holidays?

No, I usually don’t.

I don’t do Christmas, so I buy for myself all year. As a matter of fact, I try not to buy anything but groceries during this time of year.

I just rationalize what I buy for myself at the holidays as being a present to myself, but, really, it’s just a justification to get something I want. lol
I’m honest, I know my MO’s. haha

This year it was a giant foam beanbag loveseat for my movie room.
No regrets, this thing is heaven on earth, if you can get through an entire movie without passing out, it’s a miracle!

Last year,I bought myself an angle grinder and a pair of pearl earrings.;)
This year,I was bad and got myself nothing.

I sadly suffer from buyer’s remorse and Italian guilt – so I rarely buy myself anything all year long, much less at Christmas.

Every year when I’m doing my Christmas shopping, I buy myself my calendar for the next year and a book or video game or DVD. This year I got a day-by-day calendar of word origins and Dear Theo.

I buy things for myself all year round but less so at Christmas because I’m too busy spending money on everyone else.

No, I just buy what I want whatever time of year it is. I bought an Ipad this year during no tax week back to school. Saved around $70 I think.

Yes, this year, I needed some new slippers, because my old ones separated on the seam across the toe. I will have to go out later this week and get them, because no one else gave me any. I got what I wanted most for Christmas and that is a happy family.

I tend to buy things I already wanted/needed when I come across a terrific sale/special offers during the holidays. I don’t consider them presents to myself, though, I just know I’m saving money buying it now rather than later. This year, while I was buying presents for other people at Borders.com, I was able to use some rewards points and free shipping offers in conjunction with a sale to get the latest Stephen King hardcover for like 14 bucks! Snapped that puppy up for myself. :)

I went to Mexico Nov 30 so that’s sure it for this year! But I do get myself something every year.

I bought myself some new clothes, some of which were bought with money I received specifically for Christmas. I never want someone else to give me clothes for Christmas because really, only I can pick out what I really want (and try it on if necessary).

I bought myself a pokemon game I was looking for almost to years ^_^ sadly I was too excited and beat it in a day lol

i bought myself a Kinder Surprise. And i ate it. It was yummy, but the “Surprise” sucked :( ...

it started with painting some walls in my house & bedroom back in Oct.
My bedroom came out rather intense, sooo, had to buy new bedding and some wall scupltures to match the slightly ‘off’ color. lol
THAT was going to be my Xmas present. Heh.

Then..my daughter turned me onto the giant beanbag loveseat and THAT was going to be my present to myself, THEN…of course, the cool paper lamp and rattan DVD console, and, well….CLEARLY my rationalizations are very sharp!

But..I’m REALLY done now and besides, I didn’t factor in my Birthday. lol

I wouldn’t say I buy myself Christmas gifts, but I do end up buying things for myself while I’m Christmas shopping. This past Christmas, I ended up buying the basics (clothes and dvds) for myself.
