Fill in the blank: I just harvested all the leather from my old leather jacket, now I should turn it into _______?
My leather jacket got a big tear. I don’t like the style much anymore, and it was from the end of the twentieth century. The rest of the leather was very beautiful. So I decided that I could use that leather for something else.
But what? Should I make gloves? A hat? Any suggestions or sewing tips would be great!
I bet I could make some cool slippers.

An old-timey football helmet would be cool. Or a football.
Where do I get an old time football helmet pattern?
@Ltryptophan I’ve been looking around for a template, but haven’t found anything. Here’s a few close up pictures that I’ve been able to find.

I have leather from jackets and purses that I am thinking of lining some mahogany boxes I plan to make.:)
Billfolds might be good project too.
I don’t know how you would do it, but it might be kind of cool if you could make a wallet out of it. Granted, that might be impossibly hard; I’m not sure.
I am planning to cover my cheap ottoman with the leather from my old jacket.
If you ride a bike you could make a great pannier set or handlebar bag.
Guitar strap and blindfold while you are at it. ;)
