Why can't I stop my back from hurting after I deadlift?
I’ve tried everything. Immediately after deadlifting, my back is stiff and achey, and then it’s sore for anywhere from a day to a week. I have tried several times to correct my form, but at the very beginning of the lift, my lower back always curves slightly, and I think this is where the pain originates—this particular weakness in my form. Try as I might to keep my back straight, it always hunches against my will. What can I do to correct this?

I would also love some suggestions about what to do if I can’t get it right. I can’t squat as low as I’d like and don’t always have a spotter or a rack, so my lower-body and lower-back lifting options get pretty limited.

If you can’t get the correct form, I would simply stop. I know someone who had to have a spinal fusion because they pushed their luck a little too far doing this.
Try less weight, and build your way up. Don’t lift as much as your strong side can lift. Lift as much as your weak side can lift. Start at a weight where you do not hunch in a certain direction and work your way up from there.

Listen to your back. It is telling you that you are either lifting too much weight or lifting improperly. You might want to find a professional to work with to show you correct form.
Make sure your feet are shoulder width apart, don’t look down your more likely to bend like that make sure you look forward, don’t lift to much weight than you can handle, and always wear a lifting belt and keep it snug against you.

Deadlift is a great workout , however – if done wrong it can completley ruin your back ,
i would suggest either ask a trainer in your gym to give you some guidelines and even show you how to exactly do it , if that is not feasable i would stop it completley.
You ARE stretching before and after, right?
