Can you suggest a good place for lunch in Savannah, GA?

Asked by fireside (12366points) December 30th, 2010

My family and I are driving north from florida and want to stop in Savannah for lunch. Can the good people of Fluther suggest a good place to eat?

Sorry for the last minute notice but we’ll be there in two hours, so the sooner you can provide ideas, the better!

Also, are there any sites and attractions we should see while there?

There was this amazing Thai food place down town. I can’t remember the name of it for the life of me, but I can’t imagine there’s that many of them there.

Incredibly good, super nice style restaurant, and the price wasn’t really that bad at all.

As far as sites, just walking around Savannah is awesome. Beautiful city.

Hungry patrons of all ages and walks of life order classic favorites like the Big Mac, Chicken McNuggets, and the Filet-O-Fish sandwich. As for breakfast (it is the most important meal of the day, after all), this drive-thru king offers both sweet and savory morning meals like the Egg McMuffin and Hotcakes, as well as flavored iced coffees for a…

Thanks Everyone!
We did try to call Lady and Sons to have lunch there, but when I called at 1pm, they currently had a waiting list that was booked until 9:30pm.

Instead we walked along River Street and just checked out the menus. There were some good options, but we decide don a place called Huey’s

The sausage, shrimp and chicken Jambalaya was amazing!

Very cool city, we drove around a bit in the Historical district and checked out the community garden spaces between the buildings. I’m sure we’ll go back there and spend more time. If we do, then we can go to Lady and Sons early in the morning and get ourselves on the list so we can try it out.
