I watched the sea urchin drop last night with a whole bunch of fellow jellies, and now am ready to start the new year on Fluther.

I’m here. Though I’m bit irritated by an unsolicited, rude pm I received this morning. Just how I wanted to begin my new year. What a disappointment.

Having my aunts over for dinner today and watching the Rose Parade.

We’re making a nice roast beef with vegetable soup, roasted asparagus, braised broccolini and garlic & dill red potatoes. Gotta get cookin’

Hey there!

Had a lovely Indian dinner last night in St. Petersburg than wandered around through the downtown First Night – illuminated trees, Nutcracker Suite ballet dancers, a lumiere labyrinth, fireworks and about 60 degrees F! It was a great start to the year, which I hope wil be a better one for all than last year.

Here I am. About to watch one of my favourite films Elizabeth: The Golden Years. I have watched this film many times, I love the drama, the costumes and the acting is wonderful. Some of the scenes are in a cathedral which I have visited many, many times.
Then a roast dinner tonight.

Overslept – 9:15 am instead of the usual 4:30 and am enjoying a cup of coffee with the back door open. It’s a balmy 41 degrees. I’m loving being able to air out the house. Soon as the rain stops, I’m heading out the door for a walk.

I’m still here, checking in from the T-dot where it’s rainy and 8C. Doesn’t feel much like winter! Last night the fiance and I watched The Dark Knight and had a few drinks – I wasn’t drunk, as I had predicted, but pleasantly tipsy. I did stay up waaaayyyy too late, though, and woke up at the ridiculous hour of 1030am!

I’m here and lurking every so often

I am here, dogs are out cavorting in the mud, so I expect to wield a mop as one of my first acts of the new year (after checking in here of course).

I just noticed that I’ve answered a question almost every hour for the last 24 hours either from my phone or from the computer. This may be a new level of insanity. Stupid sleeplessness. I’m here… but I am forcing myself to leave on principle alone. WTF. ha.

I’m here. It looks like a beautiful day outside and I’m looking forward to a nice dinner with friends tonight! We’re having pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, green beans, and who knows what else. :-) It’s going to be delicious!

I’m here. Currently watching Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (in my opinion the story should have entirely revolved around the blue caterpiller, voiced of course by the wonderful Mr Rickman, instead but thats just me lol). Very quiet day today. Still very drained from work yesterday, so trying to rest. Hope everyone is having a happy, peaceful day, doing something they love.

I am eager for what 2011 will bring – hopefully lots of laughter, love, personal progress and growth. I have recently given up a few vices (soda, weed), so I’ve already got a head start on improving my health – extremely happy about that :)

I just got here after sleeping in for a few hours. I plan on going out to the local pancake eatery and getting me some blueberry pancakes and good coffee. I just need to put on real clothes, instead of pajamas.
@bunnygrl I agree about Alan Rickman; when I first realized it was him, I squealed with excitement (he’s one of my favorite actors).

Thanks for the pm’s all. They reminded me of why I love this place.

@etignotasanimum I really enjoyed watching Alice, I wasn’t sure at first (all I’d seen was the trailer) but I really enjoyed it. I’m not a big Tim Burton fan, my life is dark enough already, but wasn’t Alan G O R G E O U S <squeeeeeees and falls over with a thud> as Judge Turpin in Burton’s Sweeney Todd? If you’re looking for a really great Alan forum, run here? You could spend days and days just going through the galleries alone, WHAT a way to lose a few hours :-)

Watching Doctor Who and trying to forget my life stresses for a few days.
Then I’ll be going into stress overdrive trying to figure out how to fix the stress problems. Weeee.

Present, with a food hangover. Loved noshing on appetizers, etc. Ready and wanting all 2011 has to offer!

I’m here- stayed in bed ridiculously late and am now watching a Dennis Miller show I’d taped and trying to convince myself to get out of the house for a walk.

The boys and I woke up about an hour ago, 3pm Pacific time, after staying up all night. They’re watching the Fox and the Hound, so I’m free for awhile.

I’m here, it’s dark and I have a monstrous hangover!

Here. We got up early (= before noon) and went to an open house of old old friends to hang out, sip champagne and nibble hors d’oeuvres, see who’s still alive, and show ‘em that we are. It’ll be a quiet evening at home. Nice.
