I think you should listen to Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon, anything by Stevie Ray Vaughan and some Billie Holiday :)
This song is in my top 3 favourite songs of all time.
First time I’ve seen the video, though – please don’t judge based on it!
Motley Crue has a lot of good songs, same with Sixx: A.M. Poison is one of my favorites, and Rob Zombie, Family Force Five, and The Sick Puppies are AMAZING. just a few suggestions message me for more.
“Ants Marching” by Dave Matthews Band
“70 Million” by Hold Your Horses (an alternative/country French band that sings in English, the video is really cool too)
“Two Points for Honesty” by Guster
I’ve recently gotten into Mumford & Sons as well. Oh, and She & Him is also good as is Regina Spektor, especially the song “Us”.
Oh! Oh! She & Him. I lovelovelove Zooey Deschanel!
Try some CAKE.
“Tougher than it is”, “Shadow Stabbing” and “Commissioning A Symphony in C” are some of the first tunes I had heard from them, and they never seem to get old.
Hope you enjoy them as I do.
My favorite musicians are: (a couple recommended songs in parentheses)
Ween (Ocean Man, Bananas and Blow)
Peter Thomas (Bolero on the Moon Rocks, Take Sex)
Neil Young (Old Man, There’s a World)
N.E.R.D. (Am I High, Bobby James)
Beck (Farewell Ride, Orphans, then entire “Sea Change” album)
Taj Mahal (Corinna, Johnny Too Bad)
Tom Petty (Yer So Bad, I Won’t Back Down)
Oh- and I second @Prosb , I love Cake!
I just picked up the new CAKE album yesterday… those guys never disappoint :)
