What is your favorite thing about this amazing world that we live in?
I love the ocean, and all the different life forms that are in it. I never get tired of looking at videos about the sea – it’s just beautiful. The stars are also beautiful! I could just stare at them for years and years.
I also find it amazing that women can give birth. I’m not sure if I could handle it, but it’s beautiful.

Well, I love the ocean too, but I would have to say that my favorite thing is trees. They provide shade and shelter and give off oxygen.
They change color and shape with the seasons.
Being able to witness the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. They still take my breath away.
Lemon drops & cotton candy & fwuffy tings & shit. Not forgetting brown paper packages tied up with string of course….......they’re so discreet at the porn shop aren’t they? :¬)
@ucme : But that isn’t about the world…
The circle of life that is nature, with all the outdoors has to offer. The hills, the water, the trees the animals, and sometimes the people.
the unique innocence and joy bringing superpowers of children, the only thing I think may be worth protecting too.
Mountains, oceans, a starry sky, sunrises and sunsets, music, children laughing, and the look of love in a woman’s eyes.
@troubleinharlem Oh I beg to differ, but that’s a whole new question. Okay a compromise, I love the animal kingdom in all it’s glorious diversity…better?
Not that I have ever been able to appreciate one first-hand but I watched Planet Earth: Caves recently (twice) and fucking was blown AWAY. My jaw was dropped half the time. It’s unreal….it’s a whole new world down there! So my answer: CAVES. And everything else is wonderful too, but I am just sooo fascinated by caves. I highly recommend it. I am trying to figure out a way to get myself to Borneo, currently.
I do love the beach and water,but there are way too many things out there to pick just one favorite.
;)
Seasons, at least in most parts of the world. It’s nice to have a change, even if you hate the cold!
The freshness and newness of it all and I especially like seeing children looking at things for the very first time.
@ucme: I won’t argue – I’m in too much of a good mood today.
@deni : I KNOW! I thought that it was fake the first time that I saw it… it’s gorgeous. I watched it on a big screen and I almost died.
@troubleinharlem Hahaha, I was unaware an argument was there to be had! Still, moving on…
Hands. Seriously. We can do so much with them, especially with that opposable thumb. They’re marvelous machines, and they’re directed by the brain, an even more marvelous machine. Hands enable us to comfort each other, communicate more clearly, weave cloth and bake bread, sculpt images, make telescopes and direct them to look into the stars, and move mountains. It’s a shame so many people sometimes misuse them, but with great power comes great responsibility.
Sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll.
Sounds flippant, but that’s pretty much the truth. Sex, psychoactive substances, and music.

I agree that the ocean is fascinating. I also marvel at some of the weird and wonderful creatures on this planet. I love it when a “new” species is discovered.
Watching the changing of the seasons and all the new colors, temperatures and shapes it brings would be number one. Number two would be tv. haha
The mountains, the higher the better. Everything is clearer up there. From mountain animals to the vegetation they are a great work of art.
That my body has been able to birth.
If we’re talking human things, voices- talking. If we’re talking physical world, growing plants. Seeing my flowers grow gives me warm fuzzies.
Definitely water. The ocean is best, but I also like to walk my dog along Lake Ontario. I find that looking out over an expanse of water is very soothing.
