Is there such thing as a reverse dictionary?
Where instead of looking up a definition, you type in a definition and it gives you words that mean that or close to that?

Dictionary.com has that feature and so does OneLook. If you google “reverse dictionary” it provides you with a few sites that have this feature, although I’m not sure how efficient they are.
It isn’t quite the same thing but a thesaurus gives synonyms and related words.
A reverse dictionary is a dictionary organized in a non-standard (i.e., non-alphabetical) order that provides the user with information that would be difficult to obtain from a traditional alphabetized dictionary.
Many flutherers can serve the same purpose.
When you exhaust your quota, you could try sending a PM to the vocabulous among us. All those words in people’s heads ought to be useful for something.
@papayalily: The group of vocabularians here -are—is on ready alert, day or night.
The joke was a flop. It should be ”—are- is”
Did you mean ”are is”? I think I got it anyway.
I am is shocked, shocked. Twice it looked right and then showed up wrong.
@Jeruba: You always get it, thank heavens.
I was thinking this same exact thing. Weird. It would be a good idea
