We’re looking to go in late February, want to explore the rainforest, snorkel, beach, etc… any suggestions for good sites and hotels?

“Martha’s Hotel – Unbeatable prices all year round with taxes included already. Monthly rates available upon request during slow season only. Right downtown, only a block off the beach.
Ruby’s Hotel – A budget hotel right on the beach.
Sands Hotel – In the heart of San Pedro, located on scenic Front Street, the Belize Sands Hotel is steps away from white sand beaches, blue-green water, nightclubs and restaurants.”

Remember these are all on the island—boat ride or airplane hop from mainland. Beautiful place.
The best place to stay in Belize, if your not super high maintenance, is the village of Hopkins. It is right on the beach, about a 3hr beautiful drive south from belize city, take hummingbird highway not coastal b/c the road conditions can be iffy, and its not very touristy at all. It’s right near the jaguar reserve. It’s kinda perfect if you really wanna feel the culture and do all the attractions like ruins, snorkling, etc. hopkinsbz.webs.com/ – That is the local sight. We stayed at Hopkins Inn and they were very nice and were only like 50$ a night. If looking for something cheaper the village has other random lil places for anywhere from 15–100 dollars a night. Have fun!!!
