What is the most difficult to get in place you've been?

Asked by filmfann (52487points) January 12th, 2011

Have you been to a very selective club? Perhaps a place where security keeps out almost anyone?
Have you walked inside a space shuttle? Been inside the NORAD facility? Area 51?
I have two locations, but I will only share one for the moment. I got to ride in the elevator in the White House. It is not part of the tour, and the only reason I got on it was that I was with my father, who was in a wheelchair. I have heard people deny there is an elevator there, but I have been on it.
Where have you been that most ordinary people are denied access?

I have been in area 51. I belong to a very exclusive club that explores the world and societies in general. I have been to meetings with the Bildergerg Group and a few others. I have a high security rating for the military. I have even had samples from 911 in my hands and been in on investigating it.

In my college days, I was in a couple of animal research labs, in steam tunnels below two major universities, and on the roofs of quite a few university buildings, courtesy of friends who were clever with keys.

I fainted during a tour of the United Nations building in NYC and was taken to the diplomatic infirmary. The doctors showed the utmost diplomacy in their treatment.

My son was the west coast Director of FEMA. my son and i both have a Top Secret Clearance.

After being appointed to this position by President Bill Clinton, my wife and i visited our son at a secret location, in order to view the War Room for the west coast. security for this location was unbelievably tight. only my son and myself were allowed inside. his War Room was two stores beneath ground level and fully secured. my eyes rolled with amazement at the sight i was watching. no specifics and you can understand why. our country is well-protected on the ground as well as in the sky.

I will never forget this site and that summer with my son.

The Mil’s good books! Not an impossible task, but a mighty tricky one.

@psychocandy what was it like, good eats?

tinyfaery's avatar

Honestly, I’ve had better food. I was just so enthralled about being there.

I’ve been inside a space shuttle. You just have to pay admission at Nasa’s park in Florida.

My Dad was a stage magician, and I was his assistant. We performed at the Magic Castle in Los Angles.

@psychocandy I have also been to Club 33, but I found the food to be just fabulous!

I didn’t say it wasn’t good just that I have had better.

@YARNLADY is that what he did for a living? Oh my goodness, I bet you have great stories.

@bkcunningham My Dad was what they now call a flipper. He bought pre-war houses, added a second bathroom, upgraded the kitchen and sold the house. He had plumber, electrician and contractor licenses. I lived in a different house every year from age 6 to 16. Magic was his hobby.
