Do you sing to yourself?

When I am alone in the car, I often either think about life problems, and end up swearing, or just sing to myself, and not necessarily to the song on the radio.
Do you sing to yourself? What songs do you like? Do you know all the words? Have you ever been embarassed by someone catching you singing?

I sing to myself alot. Usually in the car but, seeing as I sing a lot in concerts, festivals etc I can say I am just practising!!
All the time.
I need a band, dammit.
I do sing. Usually show tunes that I know all or most of the word to.

Yes I do. Mostly in the car and sometimes in the shower. If I’m in a really weird mood, sometimes I’ll sing to one or more of my 5 cats and give them a little scare. My iPod contains more 70’s music than anything else so that’s what I like and I’m surprised sometimes by how many song lyrics I still know. I was embarrassed once, when stopped at an intersection, when another driver pulled up and heard me singing too loudly for my own good.
Yes, and I think I’m darned pretty good—till I listen to a recording of it.
My mom liked to say that all you had to do was name a topic and I would come up with a song. I guess it was pretty cute when I was 3.
I still sing all the time. It drives my hubby crazy when he is talking to me and something he says makes me break out in song.
Did I mention I know every word to every song Frank Sinatra ever sang?
all the time (when no one is around)
Oh yeah. I have a playlist in WMP called “fun to sing” and when I was at college and my roommate wasn’t around, I’d put it on while I was doing my calculus. Singing + calculus = a goooood time.
My playlist includes a lot of Beatles, Gomez, and Ben Folds. I much prefer to sing songs when I know all the words, but if I don’t I usually just make up my own! Haha
Always. I never miss a beat especially in the shower, car, and anytime my boyfriend is around and I’m feeling annoying ;)
@Mariah thats a good idea——-makes mental note——
Yes I do sing – but only in the shower – my voice sounds half good then
just can’t hold a tune at all
Oh I love to sing!! I’m a bit like @Judi with the song for every topic! A random sentence or phrase will just set me off….... tra la laaaaa!
All the time. In the car I like to put on talk radio and sing loudly over it. My dad and I both sing to ourselves, so when we’re together we’ll end up on the same song and try to figure out who started singing it.
All the time. Especially in the car, and often in the shower. Most of what I sing is rock music.
Mostly in the car. I belt it out, man.
Oh man, I sing all the time. Lying in bed, in the shower, on the street, in restaurants, you name it. After all, practice makes perfect.
I tend to sing at work, much, I suspect, to my co-workers’ dismay.
Manager: You should sing tenor.
Me: No can do, sir, I’m a baritone.
Manager (undissuaded): That is, ten or eleven miles away.

@noelleptc That’s it, someone’s getting a 3 a.m. singing telegram! :P
@takaboom Do you have a voice as good bad as mine LOLL?
All the time. In the shower, the kitchen, the car. I think it is a great stress reliever. I don’t have a favourite tune. I just sing along and often get the words wrong. My husband never fails to pick up when I do that He thinks I can sing very nicely. My kids think I sound terrible. Love is obviously not only blind but tone deaf too.
All the time. At home, in the grocery store, you name it! I’ll start singing without even realizing it. Occasionally get caught doing it at work. It was kind of embarrassing, but not enough to make me stop doing it.
I sing to myself all the time, especially while driving or putting my laundry away. I have the lyrics to my entire CD collection memorized, so I just pop in whatever I feel like that day. Embarrassment has never been an issue for me since I’ve been performing publicly since I was about five years old. In fact, I’m open enough about it that it’s impossible for me to really be “caught.”
