Do you like the commercials or the TV shows better?

I don’t watch a whole lot of TV, usually just a couple of my favorite shows. So, most of the time what I’m watching is good television. There are however some great commercials out there. The Mayhem ones are hilarious and I also like the new Nationwide commercials with “The World’s Greatest Spokesperson in the World”. Especially this one.

I only watch a few shows really, and I don’t like commercials. I used to watch a lot of TV when I was in my teens, but now days I’m a 2nd hand watcher for the most part. I’m the kind of guy who knows what shows are on because they seem to be on when I walk in to the room.

I do like some commercials, I like the ones that are so weird that they annoy everyone, but eventually, then end up annoying me too.

TV shows definitely, I hate commercials. Even though some are amusing, they get old real quick after you see them once every 10 minutes. That said, I don’t get too excited about TV shows anymore. I definitely watch very few, if any, reality shows because most of them are lame and unoriginal. There are some shows on HBO I would like to watch but I won’t pay the extra money for it. So I wind up watching a couple of ‘serious’ shows and a few sitcoms, but much less tv than I used to watch growing up.

I pvr shows I like so I can fast forward through commercials. I have seen and like the Progressive commercials, though, especially the older man talking ‘old’ talk.

What @glenjamin said. I like watching the show more than the commercial, definitely. After a while, even a funny commercial becomes really boring, and I just tend to zone out. However, this I like. I think it’s because I would have so much fun in this situation, whereas the poor guy seems really unhappy.

I hate commercials with a passion. People in the commercial act so stupid. They could very well be the cause of the recession. They are so annoying that people boycott their products!

Geico manages the hat trick of effective product tagline, humor and re-watchability. I haven’t tired yet of piggy, woodchucks or Drill sergeant

Thanks for all the responses. Since my family is not football crazy, we watched the Superbowl last night for the commercials.
