You can buy and rent movies in iTunes.
I love Netflix. At $7.99 a month, you can watch online or have DVDs sent to your home, and mail them back. The processing centers are geographically located so most locations get next-day service. They do a good job of letting you know that they received the disk back from you, and when they’re sending you the next one. Additionally, the on-demand viewing is great, and you can rate the movies. They make recommendations based on your viewing habits. You can log into Netflix from wherever you have WiFi, and watch movies.
There’s always a first month free offer.
Check out Sony’s network Media player.
It connects to your cable router or wirelessly to your LAN.
It comes with software that allows you to watch some of your Netflix choices immediately. It also gives you access to pay per view, YouTube and a bunch of other pay and non-pay channels.
About $90.
DVDs are physical storage. So no, there is no way to watch DVD movies online.
But for watching movies online:
As far as free sites are concerned, Youtube has its own movie section, and Hulu has a lot of movies too.
iTunes and Amazon both have movie rental services.
If you’re from the US or Canada, there’s always Netflix, which you pay for a subscription and can watch an unlimited amount of movies.
If you’re British, I think iPlayer has movies. Or maybe just shows. Either way, I’m jealous.
