What do some of these icons mean on my Android notification bar?

When I looked for the LG Vortex manual, this is what I found (there is a download for the manual in the article). Hope it helps.

Without seeing the icons, it’s hard to say. Most of the icons I see on my Droid X are from Apps that I have installed but you may not have.

We probably both have a signal strength meter, a battery meter, and a clock, but I also have an icon for my task Manager and the current temperature in my home town. Sometimes I also have icons for missed calls, voicemails, new texts, new e-mail, app update notifications, file transfers, GPS, wifi…..

I think that looking at page 33 of this document may help though.
