Anyone have a good recipe for whole wheat or whole grain quiche crust?

Asked by occ (4179points) January 16th, 2011

I am trying to eat less white flour and and more whole wheat/whole grains. Anyone have a really good recipe for a quiche crust that does not use white flour?

This one is similar to one I’ve used before.

I usually just make crustless quiche.

@crisw, that looks perfect! However, it only provides the weight for the whole wheat flour, and I don’t have a working kitchen scale at the moment. How many cups of flour is 250 grams or 8.8 ounces? Thanks!

And for a cheat sheet, make a cheese, tomato and fines herbes omelette and serve with wholewheat toast.

@occ

According to my favorite baking book, Healthy Bread in 5 Minutes a Day, one cup of whole-wheat flour weighs 4.5 oz. So a shade less than 2 cups would be right.
