Is there a brick and mortar store where I can shop for industrial grade project materials?

These people, Grainger have a store near me. Maybe they have one near you. You can search their site by zip code. I would suggest, and this is practically prehistoric, looking in your local yellow pages, the actually hard copy one and you should find stores in your area under “Industrial Equip. & Supplies.” Looking in your yellow pages would actually be faster and more efficient, I think, than googling.

Yep. Grainger is a good supplier, as are any number of other “industrial suppliers” (google the term for others). Which doesn’t mean that you can’t also get schlock and dreck from them, too – they sell the grade of hardware, fasteners, supplies and tools that you request and are willing to pay for.

If you’re looking for specialty fasteners, then Fastenal is another good place to look, and I’m sure that there are any number of other reputable and high quality fasteners suppliers, too. But you have to specify – and be prepared to pay for – the quality of the goods that you want.

Well, you asked for brick and mortar. The are tons of industrial suppliers whose catalogs are online. Here’s another. You’re the only one who knows exactly what you want and how you’re going to use it so it would probably be best to just google “industrial supply” and search the companies’ online catalogue or search for the particular things you want and find out who sells them.
