What does everyone think about the new series...Hunger Games?

Personally, I loved it. I got the series for Christmas. I read the first four chapters and knew I was going to be hopelessly hooked, so I waited until I knew I’d have time to really devour it. The first book took me two sittings. Then I started the second one, didn’t sleep (or eat) until I was finished, and immediately read the first two chapters of the third one before I made myself put it down and get some rest. Then I went a bit slower with the third book because I didn’t want it to be over. It still only took me a total of five days to read the entire series.

I’m reading it for Book Club. I think they are awesome! Suspenseful, and a good solid plot. I like that it’s told from a first-person point of view, so you can gain insight into Katniss’ feelings.

I loved it! The first book was my favorite – once I started reading, I could not put it down. I immediately read the second one and thought I would go crazy waiting for the third one to come out!

@Supacase Oh my God, I don’t know what I would’ve done if I’d had to wait for Mockingjay to be published. That’s exactly why I won’t usually start a series until it’s completed!

I enjoyed them a lot! The last book, I thought at times got overly dramatic to the point of cheesiness. But I still liked it, and I LOVED the first two.

I really liked it. My wife and sister-in-law and I all got captivated and had to read the whole thing straight through.

A friend just told me she thought I’d like them, so I read all three yesterday and today. They were great! A bit dark, with some horrible events, but great!
