Did women in Ancient China have jobs?
I know that the women in ancient china stayed at home a lot and had to do the chores and take care of the children. but did they do any jobs outside of the home? please help!

It would really depend on what class of women you’re talking about and what period you’re calling ancient, but I’m sure that rural women and peasants helped out in the fields as well as the house, There would also have been courtesans who worked as “professionals.” If this is for homework, I’m sure your local library ha books on the position of women in various societies in ancient times that would help you get more specific.
I don’t know much about the subject, but I do know they practiced footbinding, the goal of which was to render women immobile. So I wouldn’t doubt if the answer is no…
Everyone in Ancient China stayed home “a lot” It was hard to go anywhere, so most people stayed in their fields near their houses. It is not all that different now, in rural parts of China. And yes, both men and women worked in the fields. For that matter, so did the children.
@mrrich724 Footbinding was only for the elites.
Elite class, no; lower class – working in the fields, caring for infants, doing laundry, fabricating clothing.
