Is there a web sites that shows how dogs sense circumstances?

Asked by Anatelostaxus (1428points) January 18th, 2011

Of course we as humans can only imagine how a dog actually sees, or hears.. but as far as our scientific knowledge allows.. is there a way on the web to actually see or hear like dogs via (graphic) examples?

Not exactly what you’re looking for, but here are some interesting interviews regarding the mind of the dog, how it experiences the world, etc. Although no graphical presentations are included, maybe it will help some.

Also, here is a look at the kinds of colors dogs see, as well as their field of vision (with graphics).

Similar information here (with graphics).

Here is one that shows you what your dog sees (and yes, there’s an app for that!)

Ok so since we have established dogs have limited color vision, then why all the colorful dog toys and such? Wow, how humanizing or dehumanizing whichever way you look it because in a sense they make the product more appealing for us not the dog but when it comes to the colorside of the toy and we fall for it, hook line and sinker’! I mean why can’t they just make the kong an orange one the color the dog sees anyway? I mean my dogs will chew sticks and stuff or even the toys that look exactly like another animal before they pick a colorful toy.
