Why does NBC's online episode player stall?

Every other network’s online episode player doesn’t have this problem. NBC’s has been slow and skippy since it began and they haven’t fixed it. Does anyone else have this problem? I’ve tried playing the new episode of The Office using both Firefox and Safari and both times it’s been really slow and skippy = really annoying. Any tips for playing NBC videos without interruption?

Try www.hulu.com
it’s the new NBC owned video site and doesn’t seem to have the same bugs as the player on the NBC site, and it has all the same videos
