What are some songs with a lot of bass?
I’m looking to update my music and to catch up on things I haven’t heard yet. Lately I’ve been really into music that makes my bass go boom as loud as it can get and I don’t really know a lot of songs that do that…I’m more particularly into rock but anything else will do..(well besides rap, Not saying I don’t like it or anything..I just lose interest in it really fast…sorry.) But yea..anybody know of some good songs?

Nine Inch Nails – Somewhat Damaged
Juke Box Hero has a pretty good bass line too…. (that ones by Foreigner, if you’re a communist and don’t already know that)
See if you can find some Thin Lizzy.
It’s a few years old. OK, 1989, but don’t let the vintage stop you:
Fool’s Gold by The Stone Roses
Why every rapper on earth hasn’t sampled this boggles my mind.
@aprilsimnel – Looked it up and the base sounds pretty good…But I’m looking for more boom…I guess I should of emphasized the boom even more lol..But thanks, its a pretty good song:)
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Well what kind of bass are we talking about? If we’re talking about the bass guitar, then I suggest looking into master Les Claypool and his solo work.
You may also be interested in dubstep, which in many cases features the sounds of monstrous subwoofers. Here is a playlist of bass-specific dub I just found with a quick troll around youtube.
You say you don’t like rap, but what about drum and bass? This song, particularly starting around 1:45 will shake the shit out of your speakers.
Dieselboy if you can handle a very electronic sound.
My husband has done car audio for 15 years, and he recommends Tool and Sublime, both use a lot of bass.
Yea, anything that will make my windows vibrate lol…doesnt have to be rock, it can be anything, but it has to be good! :D Loving the answers btw!!!
Naked by Shackleton has a great bass drop at 1:52.
@Foolaholic- THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!!!
Stars for my fellow jellys ^-^
Oh, this song pretty much never gets old. If you decide you like them, this is another song that you might enjoy. You may get more of that vibration you’re seeking if you crank up the treble. Many people give too much credit to the bass, when the treble can create the same, or even better, effect you’re looking for.
@xjustxxclaudiax Glad to help. Might I also suggest you look into aquiring a subwoofer? They can get pricey, but if you’re willing to drop the money, they can make all the difference for a sound system.
@Foolaholic- Oh yes, I’m actually saving up for one. My parents are always complaining about me playing my music too loud….I wonder if they’ll miss this “silence” once I get my hands on one>:)
Zepplins In Through The Out Door used to get me the most complaints about bass with my massive 15” woofers in my dorm room. Something about the sound engineering on that album was unlike anything at the time that I owned and the bass just really rocked out in a rampage. AC DC Back In Black almost got me kicked out of the dorm.
Cranking Frank Zappas’ Wind Up Working In a Gas Station off the Zoot Allures album will bring the trophies down off the shelf every time.
Another idea occurs to me: Symphonic Rock. Personally I don’t listen to much, but I am a huge fan of Within Temptation
I’ve head of Within Temptation, I’ll look them up.
@Cruiser- Thank you very so much, I’ll look em up:)
Twang! You may want to fastrack to 1:30. Incidentally, for those Brits who may be interested. A young-ish Rik Mayall stars in the video. Another entirely useless piece of info…
@ucme- My dad listens to those kind of songs, he’s a little on the nerdy side lol.
@uberbatman- Some of those are really good! :D stars for the jelly!
@xjustxxclaudiax lemme know what you like and ill find other stuff similar to it for ya.
here’s a link to my music blog I just started it, but Ill be updating it at least once a week with tons of music. I tend to play a lot of bassy stuff on my radio show so if ya keep an eye on that you’re sure to find some stuff you’ll like.
Another One Bites the Dust
Billie Jean by Michael Jackson should fill the bill for you.
A word of caution: be prepared to wear hearing aids in your older life with jacked-up music volume. happend to me.
@uberbatman- Thank you so much! When I have the time I’ll listen to each and every one of them and let you know:) (I cant right now, there’s a baby jelly in the house.)
Start by the Jam
Town Called Malice by the Jam
Arabian Nights by Siouxsie and the Banshees
Age of Consent by New Order
Less than Human by the Chameleons UK
Evil by Interpol
Those are some that I put on a mix CD for my fiance awhile back when he was getting into playing bass again. They all have easily determined bass lines, so he could play along with them.
