Nope. I got myself into some credit card debt years ago (nothing intense that I couldn’t handle, but enough) and I’ve gotten into the habit of not spending unless I can pay for what I buy. My only debts right now are student loans, but there’s not a whole lot I can do about that right now.
No. I keep a monthly budget of mandatory expenses for our household of three adults and pay the bills accordingly. If I run short or do something from left field then I will let down two other people who rely on me to keep our bases covered. The slight pressure of it has been good for me, I like it.
Never. I have kept a budget for my entire adult life.
Never. I was raised to be very frugal, and my husband is very good at managing our finances. I hate spending money.
Almost never, except for a few rare emergencies.
I’ve paid off my credit card debt in full every month (again, with about 8 discrete times when I couldn’t) since my first card in 1977.
Used to. No more. Never again.
Never, unless buying a house counts. That was paid off in 15 years.
