I think that tea is a permanent stain. Traditionally, quilters have dyed white fabric in tea in order to give it an aged or antique look. How about dunking entire shirt and calling it beige?: -)

Some white fabrics have special whiteners added and will react adversely to bleach. If you catch the spot immediately after the spill, while still damp, 1 t. borax diluted in warm water may help. But tea, like coffee, and wine, are tough to remove completely.

Have you tried soaking in a strong Oxyclean solution?

A bleach pen would work best in this situation because liquid bleach isn’t as concentrated and is a more watered down form of bleach. While a bleach pen is PURE BLEACH making it a lot more stronger and concentrated!

Good Luck!
