Any one know a free windows program that will reformat movies to mp4?

I know there is some thing for macs but what about one for pc so I can put some vids I have on my iPhone.

VLC media player; if you click file—> streaming/exporting wizard—> then just choose the settings

there is an awsome website by microsoft called windows marketplace…sign up and look for dvd to ipod and there should be a program called clipex or something like that…download it, install it, and it is really easy. it did’t work for me though becausei have vista. just google windows marketplace… hope this helps!
