You can find some good stuff here

Here we go!

These are a few books on the topic on Amazon.com, but you wouldn’t be able to really read them all before an exam (I suspect your exam has passed, however):
Knowledge Management in Orgs
KM Toolkit
If we only knew what we know

@EmpressPixie Have you seen this
site?

And, of course, you can always check Wikipedia as a blast off: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knowledge_Management

This is a great source for some boiled down info

@Dr_C: No, it’s kind of ugly and I tend to distrust ugly sites. It’s why I like Fluther. Also feel like if you don’t put effort into a site, how do I know you put effort into your research, you know?

@Dr_C: Oh, that does look like a good paper. Bet I can find a better one.

Dr_C's avatar

Did you know there’s an IKM journal ?

Dr_C's avatar

@EmpressPixie I’m sure you could! let’s find out ;)

I also like this one: http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=961043

SSRN looks like a good source for finding this stuff in general. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of it before.

You can’t go wrong with the book Harvard Business Review on Knowledge Management

@EmpressPixie I think you may have outdone me this time

EmpressPixie's avatar

Bwahahaha! I have my ways.

Dr_C's avatar

And yet ANOTHER journal

EmpressPixie's avatar

I wonder if you could just get a few cases from Harvard to cover KM and go from there? It would be easier and faster than reading an entire paperback.

EmpressPixie's avatar

A list of them! A list of KM journals!

Dr_C's avatar

I would think it mightbe possible but you’d have to get in touch with the Harvard Business review… don’t know how forthcoming they are

Dr_C's avatar

As far as journals go.. you can’t go wrong with a multidisciplinary approach

EmpressPixie's avatar

They sell cases individually. It’s not a big deal—pretty common in business school. The hard part would be finding the right cases to get.

Dr_C's avatar

i would think they wold have them organized by specific characteristics no?

EmpressPixie's avatar

Yeah, but certain cases will still demonstrate what someone needs to learn for a specific class better than other cases.

Dr_C's avatar

Is there any way to do a specific topic search among those cases?

@EmpressPixie I bow before your ginormous brain
