@SuperMouse Sorry maybe I should’ve inluded that I write alot and I work my ass off. That sounded mean. But it’s true, I really do. I am willing to work harder though!!
@kathleentoronto did you check out the link? The book is all about bringing your goals into clear focus and using the process of writing to help you reach them. The writing the author talks about is a very specific and focused kind of writing.
@woodcutter im not sure how that answers my question but thank you
I was hoping somebody out there had seen “Napoleon Dynamite”. Good thing this q is in the social section.
Dang, I see @woodcutter arrived with the correct answer before me!
I would suggest learning that “a lot” is two words as a first step if you want anyone to take you seriously.
Write It Down Make It Happen sounds like an excellent book. I’ve been reading Tim Ferriss’ 4-Hour Workweek which I highly recommend. Skim through it at the library =P It’s all about cutting out all the useless work and being more efficient, but most importantly, how you can do anything (his students have talked with Google’s CEO’s famous actors, and other “untouchable” people, simply because he promised them a trip around the world.) if you want it, you can do it.
Anyways (sorry about the rambling), since you sound like you’re busting ass already and you know exactly what you want, do the following:
1. Find a specific job you’d like (a very specific goal is important, it can change, but you still need one :)
2. Write out 6 month & 1 year goals where you want to be (whether it’s a trip to europe in 6 months, moving there, or just more research, goals are stairs to your dreams
3. Figure out what’s the next most immediate step (rewriting resumes, calling and asking people who work overseas in that position, etc…)
4. Each day try to have 1 main goal to accomplish towards your Dream Job (but write this task the day before) And put aside everything until it’s accomplished (well… besides your current job =P
With more ass busting you’ll eventually get there, and I wish I was there to see it! (you new job, not your ass, well maybe that too haha)
Hopefully these tips are helpful! Good luck!!

I think first and foremost you would need a degree in your chosen area ie fashion, textiles, photography, journalism.
