Place you bets on how much longer he will stay in power.

Dictators are notoriously reluctant to give up power. I’d say a few more weeks at least.
He knows. He is just looking for safe passage and a way to take all his funds with him.
If we are taking wagers I’ll put my money on Feb 4 at 8:00 AM local time in Egypt or Feb 4 1:00 US Eastern. (6:00 GMT)
LMAO @worriedguy ! Jeeze, dude! Ya might wanna give yerself a bit more leeway there! LOL!
Mubarak said he won’t seek re-election and wants the elections moved up from the scheduled September date. Will it be enough?
Well I would say he is done now and the election will show that. If we even have an election next time.
I’m a bit surprised things haven’t gone to total chaos with the military blasting everyone who demonstrates against him. It’s a nice change. I still have those images of Saddam, and the Iranian govt bashing and killing dissenters.
I am sure he already does. He is currently “negotiating”.
@woodcutter Saddam in the spider hole, hands raised, saying “I’m ready to negotiate!”
He still didn’t get it.
Mubarak will get it the same time Saddam did, when the trap door falls out from under his feet.
this will drag on as long as possible if for no other reason to keep oil prices higher.
@reijinni it is very unsettling to me. I don’t think it is that simple, do you really? Are you concerned about the Brotherhood?
@bkcunningham , They are a problem and one of the things they have to do is to protect the Copts.
@reijinni the Coptic Christians are pretty much ignored by the Western media.
I think he already has. He wants to resign without losing his face completely. My guess: due to health problems Mubarak had to see specialists in Germany etc. etc.
