Is he going to tell everyone I'm obsessed with him?
Okay so I’m in 9th grade now, but back in 7th grade i had this friend. I really really liked him like that and it was really pathetic I basically thought I loved him and stuff. I talked about him all the time as well. Just your stupid normal over the top first crush. But he somehow heard how much i liked him and got this idea in his head that i was obsessed with him and still am. It’s been 2 years since I’ve talked to him and he hasn’t crossed my mind at all. My cousin got a class with him this year and she knew i liked him, she’s a sophomore and he’s a freshman so she was like do you know (my name here) and he said yeah she’s obsessed with me. To which my cousin replied “Not anymore!” So is he going to run and tell the whole school that he has confirmation i was obsessed with him?! I’m really afraid that this is going to ruin my life!

The best rule of high school is to forget everything anyone says. Seriously. Everything.
When I was in high school I never paid attention to anything anyone said, because I didn’t care. Part of it is I have a terrible memory.
But one thing I learned in high school, is that people love you if you can’t remember who they are every time you meet.
Within reason of course, dont forget someone you see daily….
So if someone comes up to you and says hey Bill said you were obsessed with him. Respond with, “Bill who?”
@mowens gave great advice. I really agree with the saying “who?” part. Also, just remember things in high school barely last a week. There is so much stuff going on that kids don’t really care. The thing that would be funny is he would sound obsessive saying “Hey, that girl was obsessed with me in 7th grade.” Doesn’t it sound like he’s obsessing over the thought of you obsessing over him?
If he keeps talking about you, it will appear that he is the one who is obsessed.
If someone asks you about it, answer as @mowens suggested.
Probably won’t be ruining anybodies life. The people above are so right. But my personal advice is to make him jealous and sad by making out with a short ugly nerd. Hopefully named Max.
