Why don't older people ever teach younger people about how to live on their own?

Like, when most kids are 18, they move out, they have no idea what the heck they are doing, and 75% of the time, they end up moving back because things get too hard.
I am 16 now, but I have no idea the extent of bills I will have to pay when I’m older. I admit that I am ignorant, but it’s because NO ONE TELLS YOUNG PEOPLE THESE THINGS.
And I’m fed up. I want to know what it takes to live on your own, expenses, and difficulties. I don’t care about any pleasure sides that there may be. I wanna know the meat of it, and I hope some of you older people here will be willing to teach an ignorant little 16 year old about life on your own.
How the heck do you people afford to pay all these bills??
