What's your favorite old-school rap or hip-hop song?
I don’t know a lot of good ones, and I just would like some suggestions on groups or songs. I wasn’t around then, so… anything would help.
I was just listening to this. xD

“Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana
Gettin jiggy wit it”
- Will Smith
Nas – Nas Is Like
It’s not super old-school (1999), I know, but I think the sound of the song has an old-school feel to it.
Oh, boy. There’s a lot of good old 1979–2000 stuff:
The Message – Grandmaster Flash
White Lines – Grandmaster Flash
Fight The Power – Public Enemy
Don’t Believe The Hype – Public Enemy
I Got To Keep On – Cookie Crew (UK)
Paid In Full – Eric B. and Rakim
Love’s Gonna Getcha (Material Love) – KRS-One
The Gas Face – 3rd Bass
Me, Myself and I – De La Soul
I Go To Work – Kool Moe Dee
Ain’t No Half Steppin’ – Big Daddy Kane
U.N.I.T.Y – Queen Latifah
One semi-old school one is Electric Relaxation by A tribe called quest.
Yeah, for me, anything Run DMC. For Rap, Whodini. Oh yeah, Freaks Come Out at Night.
I so wanted to go with Eazy E, good one @Jude, but I think I’ll pick Jam On It. Now that’s old school.:)
