Do any of you men get pee-phobia?

Asked by Trustinglife (6671points) April 13th, 2008 from iPhone

That’s when you’re in a public restroom and there is a guy peeing next to you and you just…can’t…go…? I’m 27 and thought I’d get over myself someday – hasn’t happened yet. Does this happen to you sometimes?

Are you insecure about something?

I pull my pants all the way down to my ankles….....that does the trick.

This just happened to me at a wedding. The worst is when you just have to stand there and pretend that you’re going until the other person finishes and you can slink into a stall.

aka stage fright? Yup. It’s probably an evolutionary thing.

@andrew, yeah, it’s funny, too when guys flush when they obviously haven’t done anything.

@andrew, Yes! or when I’m too embarrassed to go right into the stall, I have to come back to the bathroom like 10 minutes later!

@kevbo, stage fright – I never thought of it like that, that’s interesting. But I love public speaking… When I get to wear pants.

I always go straight to the stall since our school’s urinals don’t have dividers.

yeah I dont like peeing next to other guys unless its a friend or so ething then I do t care. I’m not insecure I dont no what it is really I just pee easier alone LOL. Besides Im letting my body waste out through my penis. I dont think I need to share that experience ha. I never understood those urine fetish people….. But that’s another topic all together LOL

It’s funny that men seem to fall into two distinct camps on this; those with stage fright, and those without. I get it too, but if I can just get a trickle started I’m golden. If not, I pretend I peed and try again later. What gets me is those guys who are perfectly willing to carry on an in depth conversation with you while standing at the urinal. Oh, and lest we forget those awful “canals” found at ball parks. Great, no line if you can pee standing next to sixty other guys trying to pee!

omg ha ha ha! You know I have never seen my husband pee! Almost 7 years together!!

@alina1235, I’ve seen my best friend pee, but i’ve known him since birth basically, it wasnt until the age of 17 though. Its not something you would wanna watch, Theres nothing that interesting about it!
but he also gets stage fright, he usually goes into a stall when peeing unless its his friends. I, a girl, also get it, i cant stand when people listen to me pee. even from the privacy of in the stall. If i know someones in their i just flush the toilet wash my hands and leave.

Im sure for some that is a problem. As for me i’m ok. Maybe that has something to do with my G/F peeing on me in the shower. I think it’s a fetish for her. I learned to adapt and except…LOL

Hollister0221's avatar

my girlfriend used to like to hold it while I pee. She thought she was outing out fires

hairypalm's avatar

@robby. Holy cow bro! That’s the 3rd time I have heard about that

Hollister0221's avatar

men and women both enjoy the golden shower

hairypalm's avatar

Someone said something about 1girl 1 pitcher .com or something like that. I’m scared to look.

Alina1235's avatar

how funny! Same with me I hate when people hear me pee, but at least they don’t hear me poop that’s way more embarassing LOL

Hollister0221's avatar

yea I hate going in bathroom and you hear someone popping fire works in the stall

BirdlegLeft's avatar

Somewhere this went from stage fright to golden showers. Robby, I blame you.
