Any suggestions for some good Dubstep songs?
I just recently got hooked on dubstep, so I was wondering if anyone had some cool songs they would like to share. Something to play at maximum volume in my car…. Thanks!

Anything by The Widdler, he’s my favorite dubstep artist so far
You probably already know it, but Caspa’s remix of Deadmau5 & Kaskade’s I Remember is really, really good.
Some artists you could check out are Caspa, Benga, Skream, Magnetic Man (collaboration between Benga, Skream and Artwork), Nero, Rusko (he helped with Britney Spears’ new track, check it out from 2:17 :P).
I also like Valerna, not just Dubstep but e.g. the remix of What What from 5:07 is pretty nice if you like Dubstep, so you might also like the rest of the song :)
Off the top of my head I can’t think of much more, but if I don’t forget I’ll add some more when I think of it.
Btw, techno? :P
Shockingly (and I mean that sincerely), this Wikipedia entry is rather comprehensive, with a lot of artists on it and samples of tracks to listen to.
example – kickstarts (bar 9 remix), Mt Eden Dubstep – Sarah McLachlan: Silence – my fav dubstep songs!
@RareDenver I wouldn’t classify your link as dubstep…
@uberbatman Wow, did Pendulum do dubstep? I’m going to check out your list tomorrow, thanks :)
Btw, deadmau5 has also been doing some dubstep on his latest album 4×4=12 which wasn’t bad (e.g. One Trick Pony, Raise Your Weapon).
@Vincentt I dont know if that song is actually them or a remix of one of their songs but on Immersions or whatever their latest cd is called they do have a couple songs that are pretty dubby but also kinda of DnB
I dont really think deadmau5 is dubstep. Great stuff, but i unno not really dub imo.
Actually, Deadmau5’s stuff on 4×4=12 is pretty dubsteppy, definitely in comparison to his last stuff. It’s not the classic dubstep stuff, but it does have some wobble bass, sub bass and about the right tempo for it, so I’d let it be your call. That being said, it’s a really well mixed and professional album so I’d get it anyway.
That being said, though, there’s some really good dubstep out there and then there’s some really really bad stuff. I tend to think this list has a bit of both.
Bassnectar – Bass Head (Much, much better live. But pretty good nonetheless.)
Benga – Your Band (Because @uberbatman took the Benga song I was going to post)
Rusko – Hammertime (Obligatory)
Noisia – Machine Gun (I wouldn’t call Noisia dubstep myself, although I love them to death, but this remix definitely is.)
Foreign Beggars – Hit That Gash (Angry, agressive, bassy.)
Numbernin6 – Nebulous (First two minutes are trance, the rest is ridiculous)
Pendulum – Set Me on Fire (For whoever was asking if Pendulum did dubstep…)
Excision and Datsik – Swagga (Also obligatory. The template dubstep song, in my opinion.)
The rest here are not really straight wobble bass and silly vocal samples dubstep, but I think I like them more than a lot of the songs I posted above. Just personal preference, though, but they’re a different kind of dubstep. They do follow a more experimental vein.
Joy Orbison – Hyph Myngo
Boxcutter – J Dub
Skream – Midnight Request Line
@uberbatman Actually, it’s just those two tracks I mentioned, I would classify them as dubstep (and I don’t think One Trick Pony is named that coincidentally :). The first track you linked to is nice, haha.
@dverhey Nice list. So much to check out, great :)
@Vincentt doh, that’s cos I linked to the wrong mix, I meant to link to this mix from the same release, my bad, the Sidney Samson mix is good too though as you say, more electro than dubstep
Im a momo. I cant believe I forgot to mention this especially since ive been hooked on this artist since @dverhey introduced him to me.
