What is a good book on basic video editing?

During the summer vacations I am planing to do a little project which will involve some skills in video editing. The only video editing software I have ever used is Windows Movie Maker, now I am going to give Sony Vegas a try as Movie Maker will not be up to the task. What are some good books or websites where I could learn some basics.

It all varies based on your needs. I would just search things like “how to use transitions with sony vegas” and read what you find there. it’s easier than learning everything at once, faster, and you do pick up on the extras without realising it.
