Does anyone remember the name of a nostalgic TV show with a robot speaking and explaining things in science to children in a Lab?

What country? About what year? What geographical region within that country? More details might help jog memories or help people search. Especially something like, was it a series where the robot routinely did this? I’m sure Robbie the Robot explained things to the kids on Lost in Space on at least one occasion.

I think it was in 1990–1995, maybe an austrlian TV show with children coming to visit a science robot in a big Lab and he was talking and explaining things to them.
