Does Rosetta Stone really work?

It depends, but I’ve been the most successful with it, and I’ve tried quite a few of these learn a language software. Can’t say I’m now fluent in French, but I can understand and pick out single words much better then before now
I think it’s a good program if you’re going to go that route but from what I’ve seen it doesn’t teach you how to speak in every day vernacular. I think the best way to learn a language is to go to a country and learn it, but as that isn’t an option for most people, I’d say taking a class at a school – check your local listings. If you’re in a major city you can often find countries have cultural centers that offer classes.
