oooh--good suggestions! I've only had zante's take out. Is it nice for a date?

i mean, it's not "nice". it's just a place. but it's novel.

Ooo golden era is great

Gratitude would be a good place for a group date

And I second zante's

cafe gratitude is a bit too crunchy for me...and it's not really a date place...I'm looking for somewhere new that has ambiance and yummy food--it doesn't have to be a vegetarian restaurant as long as there are veggie options

The new mission place is called Cha Ya. And the original is in Berkeley. Amazing veggie sushi. Go to the one in Berkeley. It's rad. And you can canoodle on the BART. I second Greens (but only because I worked there for three years...). If you go to Greens, I recommend anything with beets in it. :)

theres a funky sushi place on mission st and they have good veggie options... i suck cuz i dont know the cross st...maybe near 20th? its on a corner and someone on here will know it... i think good date place also depends on which date it is.... for me, a first or close to first date place has to be very comfortable..... after that its easier to enjoy a more hole in the wall quirky place

ack - you probably mean country station sushi? they are ridiculous! the service would be laughable except that there's nothing funny about waiting an hour and a half for miso soup.
