What is the best way to keep notepad edges from curling?

I use an 8.5×11 writing pad and the corners start to curl with use.
Does anyone have a good solution to prevent this from happening?

Mainly it’s because I either rest my wrists on them, or I take it in and out of my murse.

Utilize a portfolio holder to put the pad into. There are many options to slip a pad of paper into and protect it. There are a variety of materials and hardness to these portfolios as well. Card stock, leather, fabric, etc
Pick a plain one or one that fits your style.
