Anyone remember "Slick 50"?
The commercial showed a man dipping a screwdriver into a can of Slick 50 and not being able to pick it up, because of its slickness. This is an additive to use in your cars engine, to make the metal parts have less friction…...supposedly. Question: do you remember Slick 50 and is it still around?

I hate to say it, John, you’ve been here awhile and should know, but Google came up with this on the first try. Or were you hoping for a discussion? My bad if you were, sorry.
I remember that product. They used to advertise heavily in NASCAR and CART and other racing competitions. Not sure if they were ever a primary sponson on a single car, but they sure ran them spots a lot. Personally, I never used that product, or shopped at Lowes, or used Goodies headache powder, or drank Red Bull, or whatever that is that advertises Clint Boyer. Slick 50 seemed popular in the 90s, anyhow.
Sorry, I never go to Google and was not aware. It happens.
John, which search engine do you find helpful?
@MissA I understand this question wasn’t directed towards me, but I don’t use Google neither. Have once, didn’t like it. I have always used altavista.com, but since they been taken over by Yahoo, I happily use Yahoo for an almost exclusive search, when needed.
I remember Slick 50. The guy could not hold the screwdriver.
Many years ago I bought a certain BB gun (spring type pistol) and the factory specs said it was supposed to only be lubricated with Slick 50. I’m sure I have a bit of it in a syringe someplace in the basement.
Hmm….I wonder where that BB gun is….
Wow! I found it and it still works!
@worriedguy : Bet you’re glad he asked that…wait…put that thing down…no…I’m sorry… OW OW OW!
@JilltheTooth Awww… You’re safe. My daddy taught me never to point a gun at another person. But I can make exceptions with a consenting adult. Boink Boink Boink!:-)
@12Oaks I wasn’t condemning John for not using google…I like to know where others go for their searches. I used to use “alltheweb.com”, but as a mac user, google is my default and I just go ahead and use it. I believe that alltheweb was purchased by yahoo. My guess is that they’re all about the same. My comment was off topic. I apologize to John.
@MissA Oh, I never thought of you to be condemming him. I just saw you asked a question of him, one that could of me as we both choose not to use the same product, so I thought you may have appreciated another opinion. Sorry it got misunderstood.
