It sounds like Green Lantern because Hal was obsessed with space, and in the movie he has a love interest

It wasn’t Green Lantern. It was more of an indie film (with mainstream distribution – at least, it got into previews at films like “Up in the Air” or similar). It was a quirky romance film, not an action film. I wish I could remember more about it. I looked through lists of movies released in 2009 and 2010 and couldn’t find it (but the lists were very long and tough to wade through).

Hmm, could you provide any more details? like the look of the film, what the actors looked like, setting, time, etc…

I think I saw this on an airplane—I think it’s the movie called: “Adam” starring Hugh Dancy. He’s an autistic man who falls in love with a teacher who lives in the apartment just above his.. His father passes away early in the film, I think.. and he struggles to live independently.

Aw just watched the trailer, this looks good.

I just finished watching this movie. It was lovely, and I just went to iTunes and purchased the soundtrack. The music was so soothing, neatly complementing the pacing and art direction of the movie.

Hugh Dancy did a remarkable job, and I think should have been nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of Adam.
